BDK (Bitcoin Dev Kit) handles the hard parts of an on-chain wallet: descriptors, address derivation, chain syncing over Electrum, Esplora, or Bitcoin Core, coin selection, fee bumping, and PSBT signing. Use bdk_wallet directly from Rust, or the bdk-ffi bindings from mobile and Python apps.
